Headaches

Headaches are a common source of pain for many people, but did you know that there are different types of headaches? Migraines often present as throbbing pain on one side of the head, worsening with movement, and may be accompanied by nausea, as well as sensitivity to light and sound. Tension-type headaches are characterized by mild to moderate pain, often described as a tight band around the head. Cervicogenic headaches are recurrent headaches that originate in the neck, radiating forward to the temple region, and are often accompanied by aching pain on one side of the head, dizziness, throbbing sensations, or neck pain. Headaches can significantly disrupt daily life, especially if they occur frequently.

How Can We Help?

Physiotherapy can be effective in the treatment and management of certain headaches. Our therapists will take you through a thorough assessment in order to determine what type of headache you are experiencing and the contributing factors. We will then create a treatment management plan with you to address these contributing factors and help reduce the incidence and severity of your headaches.
