Headaches
Headaches are an extremely common source of pain for many of us, but did you know that there are different types of headaches? Migraines often present with throbbing pain on one side of the head that is worse with movement and can be accompanied by nausea and sensitivity to light and sound. Tension type headaches are characterised by mild to moderate pain that is described as a tight band around the head. Cervicogenic headaches are common, recurrent headaches that are described as aching pain on one side of the head. They originate from the neck and radiate forwards to the temple region, and are sometimes accompanied by dizziness, throbbing pain or neck pain. Headaches can cause significant disruption to everyday life, particularly if they are a daily occurrence.
