FAQs

How often will I need to come in for physiotherapy?
Every patient’s recovery journey is unique. Depending on your condition, you may need sessions twice a week, weekly, or fortnightly. At Pro Perform Physiotherapy, we tailor treatment plans to your goals, schedule, and budget.

Do I need to live in Woodvale or the surrounding suburbs to be treated at Pro Perform Physio?

Not at all - we accept everyone here. Even though we are located in Woodvale and support patients local to the area and surrounds, anyone can receive treatment at Pro Perform Physiotherapy.

Do you accept private health insurance and how much will my rebate be?
Yes - we accept most major private health funds with HICAPS available for instant claiming. Rebates vary depending on your level of cover. Patients from Woodvale and neighboring suburbs often find claiming quick and easy at our clinic.

What can I expect from my first physiotherapy appointment?
Your physiotherapist will discuss your condition, lifestyle, and goals before performing a thorough physical assessment. Treatment may include manual therapy, dry needling, massage, or a home exercise program which is completely tailored to you.

Do I need a referral from my GP to see a physiotherapist?
No referral is needed. Physiotherapists are primary healthcare providers, meaning you can book directly. Patients all across Perth regularly come to us without a GP referral, especially if they require treatment right away. You are still more than welcome to see your GP first to discuss if physiotherapy is right for you before booking in.

How do I prepare for a physiotherapy appointment?
Arrive a few minutes early, wear comfortable clothing and ensure the affected area is accessible for assessment. Before your first visit, we require you to complete our new patient form online (once you book your appointment, this will be emailed to you) or manually at the clinic. This helps our physios provide the most effective treatment.

What conditions do you treat at Pro Perform Physiotherapy?
We treat back pain, neck pain, sports injuries, arthritis and chronic pain, joint problems, workplace injuries along with providing pre and post surgical rehabilitation and that's not all - you can see the range of services we provide by clicking here.

Do you offer sports physiotherapy and injury rehabilitation?
Yes - we specialise in sports physio, exercise rehabilitation and return-to-play programs. From athletes in Kingsley and Greenwood to weekend fitness enthusiasts in Wanneroo or Joondalup, we help patients recover and return to peak performance.

Can I claim physiotherapy through EPC/CDM, Workers’ Compensation or Motor Vehicle Accident Insurance?
Yes - we accept Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) plans - now often called Chronic Disease Management (CDM) plans), Workers’ Compensation claims, NDIS referrals and Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) claims.

Do you accept DVA (Department Of Veterans' Affairs) program referrals?

Yes - at Pro Perform Physiotherapy, we are proud to support members of the Department Of Veterans’ Affairs program. If you are currently serving or have previously served in the Australian Defence Force or are the spouse, widow or child of an eligible DVA member, you may be entitled to physiotherapy services funded by DVA.

Do you provide exercise classes or group rehabilitation?
Yes - our physio-led exercise classes focus on strength, mobility, and injury prevention. They’re ideal for patients of all ages and fitness levels as our physiotherapists tailor exercises to your current needs and future goals.
