FAQs
Is manual therapy painful?
Some techniques may feel slightly uncomfortable at first but our physios adjust pressure to your comfort. Most patients feel relief and improved mobility quickly.
Do I need manual therapy or just exercises?
Both are often used together; manual therapy provides short-term relief for ease of movement whilst exercises build strength and stability to ensure long-term recovery and future prevention.
How many sessions will I need?
This depends on your injury, goals and response to treatment. Your physio will outline a tailored plan during your first session.
Can manual therapy help chronic pain?
Yes, it can reduce muscle tension and improve movement patterns but it’s usually most effective when combined with education and rehablitation exercises.
