Neck and Back Pain

Neck and back pain can be very limiting and impact your ability to complete day to day tasks. Fortunately, they are also some of the most common conditions that physiotherapists see. While having a sore back or neck can be troubling, the spine is one of the strongest structures in the body and often responds well to physiotherapy treatment. Pain can occur in the neck, upper or lower back, and may be a result of tight muscles, posture or positioning, joint or muscle sprains or disc and nerve related pain. The pain itself can present as an achy or sharp pain, and you may experience referred leg or headache pain.

How Can We Help?

Back and neck pain often responds very well to conservative treatment under the guidance of an experienced physiotherapist. Our physios will take you through a thorough assessment to figure out the cause of your pain or injury. We will then work with you to develop an individualised treatment and management plan in order to reduce your pain and minimise the risk of the pain returning. Treatment will include a combination of hands-on techniques to help calm down the pain in the short term and an exercise program to prevent stiffness and pain in the long term.
