Whiplash Injuries
Whiplash injuries occur when the head gets thrown back and forth, often as a result of a rear end motor vehicle accident or contact sports. When this occurs, you may experience a range of symptoms, dependent on which structures in the neck have been injured. Potential whiplash symptoms can include dull, achy pain or sharp neck pain with movements, stiffness, headaches, dizziness and pins and needles or weakness down the arm.
How Can We Help?
Our experienced physiotherapists can assess which structures in the neck may have been injured or irritated during the incident, and can grade your whiplash injury. From here we will work with you to develop a whiplash treatment plan targeting the structures in the neck responsible for your pain. We will pair this with management strategies such as stretching and mobility exercises for you to do at home in order to help resolve your pain and symptoms and improve your overall function.
